The Challenge: Replacing a Ducted System and Increasing Indoor Air Quality
Finding a solution that would heat and cool the space without having to use the old ducting or the same type of system that was currently installed in the home. We also needed a way to add air conditioning to the home and increase the air quality in the home.
The Solution: A Zonal Mitsubishi Ductless System
Installing a ductless heat pump from Mitsubishi! Installing a wall mount head in the main area and one in the bedroom, allows the homeowner to keep each area at the exact temperature that they desire. Also, by installing the wall mount heat pump system we did not have to use the old ducting, or remove the old furnace from the crawlspace, which would have been very difficult and could have caused some extra renovations to the home. Also, by not using the old ducting we increased the air quality of the home!

Customized zoning control between the bedroom and the main living area. Getting air conditioning built in. Moving heat efficiently from outside, instead of using extra energy to create it with the old very inefficient furnace in the crawlspace.
